Casa Decor Madrid 2009. First impressions

Magenta announced it to us, the 41st edition of Casa Decor Madrid 2009 It is already underway, and how could it be otherwise, Decoesfera will be very present in this important decorative event. With wide eyes and eager to see the new proposals exposed there, I headed to number 22 of Luchana Street, in Madrid.

On a day of intense sun, the Luchana Palace He stood majestically, proudly displaying his elegant wedge facade. What surprises would hide inside? The answer was not long in coming. After leaving the door behind, I could see how once again, the designers propose different and successful ideas, which evolve at the pace of the market if not one step ahead of it. The mix of styles and environments, as well as disparate proposals are the keys to this event.

The overall impression is very good. After each of the spaces an intention is guessed to approach the general public, although there are some very exclusive, only suitable for the elite, some proposals offer solutions that can be easily adapted to our homes. We also see perfectly incorporated recycling elements as decorative elements. Each space is presented as a habitable place, in which we would like to sit down for coffee or sleep. The details are taken care of to the maximum, in some sink we have seen dishes pending to wash, and even some permanent tenant who ignoring the visits continues with his life.

Children also find their place here, both because they are enabled dream rooms specially designed for them, or because they bring new proposals that claim improve the environment of children's plant rooms in public hospitals, filling them with color and joy.

The lighting It becomes very important and transforms the concept, integrating into the ceilings as part of these, born from integrated moldings, always indirect.

The new trend so in vogue of vinyl It is present, giving a twist to its use, since it is used not only with a punctual adornment but for cover entire rooms replacing wallpaper.

The Luchana Palace It is a privileged base on which one has worked conscientiously. Its formidable viewpoints have served to recreate small decorations full of magic. Several circular rooms, one for each floor, present a decorative challenge that is successfully completed, an effort not easy. It attracts attention as a construction dating from the early years of the twentieth century serves as a canvas for such disparate decorations.

In the attic two terraces face each other in styles, they have managed to provide them with totally opposed environments, Mexican magic against the pleasure of the gathering and relaxation.

This has been a very stimulating and enriching walk. Each space deserves a note, and we will offer them in successive posts, within our special Home Decor in Decoesfera.

See you soon…

A good idea: a small magazine rack at the foot of a table

One of the typical accessories in the living room is the magazine rack, although today many of us read most of the contents in digital format, we are still reading newspapers and print magazines, both supports are complementary.
