We had already seen in Decoesfera the use of an innovative material, the silicone, in the manufacture of interesting objects for the home, such as folding drainers or utensil sets, in both cases put on the market by Lékué which, in 1999, was the first company to obtain the European and American patent for the manufacture of pastry molds in platinum silicone.
Now it is a Spanish company, the lighting firm B. Lux, which has used this material to create Beautiful flower, a collection of decorative luminaires, with an aesthetic reminiscent of tulips, designed by Beppe Benenti.
Silicone is the material used in the manufacture of the diffuser, consisting of three moldable sheets. With a simple and intuitive movement we can open one, two or the three petals that make up the screen, which allows us regular manually exit light. The silicone responds perfectly to these demands of movement of the diffuser, since it guarantees the flexibility and stability of the sheets in their different positions. In addition, as we know, this material is resistant at high temperatures.
The Bellaflor screen is available in several finishes: white, yellow, red and blue. All of them are sold in the functions of table, foot, suspension, ceiling and wall. The table and foot versions also incorporate intensity regulator. Without doubt an interesting contribution.
