Once upon a time there was a girl named Cécile, who dreamed of being a great actress. Cécile was actually called Cecilia and lived in Chamberí, but she told everyone that she was actually from Paris, after all, isn't it where they say children come from? Cécile, who was very flirtatious, had a dressing table, from which he combed his beautiful light brown hair over and over again, and watched, as if sideways, everything that happened on the little square in front of his house.
Thus begins this story, the story of Cécil and therefore, of his room, a story bedroom where everything seems drawn at the whim of our little protagonist. This is the space designed for Casa Decor Madrid 2009 by Espaciopapel and signed by Adriana Ramiro and Guillermo García-Hoz.
The personality of the little Cécile is discovered throughout the story that defines the memory of the project, a room for a dreamy girl in which her childhood dreams and desires are expressed.
The walls are covered with vinyl, a trend seen in this edition of Casa Decor Madrid 2009, which serves as wallpaper with some advantage over this, namely: it can be placed and removed with great ease.
Paper space He has created a drawing that is repeated on the walls and the bedspread of the bed, a green and white graphic quite surprising, cheerful and with a certain unreal air. The lower part shows a frieze drawn in large strokes as well as the moldings and door frames.
Therefore, it is the right frame for furniture, made in white and with lines that highlight its contours, a detail that makes them appear drawn on paper. It is curious how square and simple furniture become tables and consoles of classic air through a few strokes.
Cécil liked to spend the dead hours reading in front of his small fireplace or talking to his pets. Cécil did not like the world of the elderly, the rush and the phones. Cécil liked to go to his grandmother's house and see with her the photos of his parents, his grandparents, his grandparents 'parents and his grandparents' grandparents.
One of the walls houses an imaginary closet in which one of the lamps looks mysteriously. There rest the toys, photographs and books of Cécil, Cecilia actually; who knows what this room really would be like if it weren't for his excessive imagination ...
On the bed, one Hanging lamp It repeats in its hoops the freckle of the wall, and offers pink matrices, the color that in small doses contrasts with the intense predominant green.
Several cages hang from the ceiling, but the birds fly free around the room or rest confidently on the bed. Their cages are open and in some the obsessions of adults are enclosed.
One day in the morning, her mother, when she woke her up, discovered that she was no longer there. There are those who say that they have seen her in Paris, acting in the theater and there are those who say that she disappeared forever but that her spirit still lives in her small room on the second floor in Luchana 22. But do not be afraid, do not scare anyone . Well, it doesn't scare anyone who doesn't hurry or talk on the phone ... "
Next to the window we see a dressing table, in which Cécil looks again and again in the mirror imagining by the Seine, walking while the birds keep and protect her. A square module becomes a classic green footstool. A schematic, simple and effective trapntojo.
This space has been a very pleasant surprise, a different proposal and full of imagination that has made us dream for a few moments. We could almost feel the beats of Cécil by our side, sounding a duet with the songs of the birds.
