Do it yourself: decorate your walls with a marker

The truth is that when I saw the photograph on these lines, I remembered the room of the little Cécil that our partner showed us a few weeks ago Fiona by the way to highlight the moldings. Reading more carefully, I saw that to achieve this effect so curious and naive, the owners of this house they reviewed the moldings and decorated the paper of the wall with a marker pen permanent.

To imitate this look, all you have to do is buy a permanent marker type Edding with the tip of your choice, although it is easier to do with the thicker tip because it requires less precision. In the photo, we see how on plain paper objects have been painted on the mantelpiece (in this case shoes), and a pattern has been followed to decorate the rest. The set is completed with a frieze almost on the ceiling and the imitation of a fireplace under the mantel.

The truth is that while this style is very original and surely no one has the same, probably tired after a while, although it is very cheap and simple to renew, it would be enough with re-wallpaper or paint over with a paint that covers what is drawn. Another problem that I see is for those who do not have a good pulse, which they will surely commit mistakes (To make this statement I am thinking of myself) and it is hard to fix

To avoid unexpected errors, the ideal is to try before with pencil the design you are going to do later. Nor would it hurt measure before getting to work the wall where it is going to be drawn so that the design is provided, and so that everything fits perfectly.

However, it is Ideal for decorating children's rooms, using markers of many different colors and, why not? Imitating the drawings of your children. If someone dares to send the photos, we will be happy to see the results.
