The kitchen of this attic in Paris has undergone a great transformation after a total reform and at a very tight price.
Hélène Pinaud and Julien Schwartzmann, are a young couple of 27-year-old architects who live in this attic since they arrived in Paris, at the end of his career. The apartment of just 50 m2, occupies the last floor of a building near the Plaza de la República, in what were previously the service rooms of the building.
At first they kept the kitchen as it was, with Mediterranean-style tiles on the countertop and framing the interior window. The kitchen Before (via @heju)
Hélène and Julien live and work, - together they have created Heju architecture style, from which they design apartments, commercial spaces, events or furniture-, in the apartment. That is why the reform became very necessary.
THE KEYS TO THE KITCHEN REFORM
With little budget and an important part of DIY, they demolished the previous kitchen and mounted the furniture and doors, transformed the kitchen for a little less than 3,700 euros.Advertising
The most important savings were achieved with Leroy Merlin's furniture (Delinia modules) and the module doors are custom cuts of birch plywood in which they pierced the round handles.
Where they have spent more money has been in the Havsen kitchen stack of Ikea (€ 89) and in the brass tap, (similar here) that give character and quality to the kitchen.
For the countertop they opted for a white laminated countertop but with the straight edge of cut wood. Instead of placing a corner or a corner guard, they have used washable paint to paint a small socket simulating this effect.
They also changed the window (the only thing they didn't do), and replaced the appliances with the Smeg line from Leroy Merlin.
As for the continent of the kitchen, floors and ceilings, they chose to create a clean white space which included painting even the white wooden beams. In this way the kitchen collects all the light that enters through the side window.Via @heju Via @heju Via @heju Via @heju Via @heju
The result is a very bright and modern kitchen.
